12+ Book Ideas for Christmas, part IX

The Fault in Our Stars

Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel’s story is about to be completely rewritten.

Magnificent and difficult. Funny and heartwrenching. I lack the words to qualify this book. So honest. I can’t think of another book which left me dissolving “into a puddle of tears” to quote the book. My nose is still running. “Dying sucks.”

My 5-starred books:

Things You Save in a Fire, by Katherine Center (released 2019)
The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green (favorite book)
Turtles All the Way Down, by John Green
